May 28, 2011 (Memorial Day Weekend).

LINDA RILEY’S WOMEN’S BOOK DISCUSSION: will meet this Thursday August 26 at 1 PM in the Fellowship Room.  Topic is “Stabilizers” pp. 179-181.

SECOND COLLECTION FOR PETER’S PENCE: will be this weekend August 14/15.  This collection provides our Holy Father with the assistance he needs to carry out his most important charitable works.  The proceeds benefit the most disadvantaged: victims of war, oppression, and disasters.  Through your generosity, we can work with Pope Benedict to cast the love of Christ upon the world.

R.I.P.: We offer our sympathy and prayers to Tracy Hopper and his family on the death of his father Garvis this past week.

OUR ANNUAL BAKE SALE: will be held in conjunction with the 127 Yard Sale this Friday August 6 and Saturday August 7.  We need any kind of baked goods.  The south side church door will be open on Thursday for those wishing to bring their baked goods at this time.  We also need patrons to buy the goodies!!

BUILDING A FUTURE OF HOPE CAMPAIGN: As of May 31st the cash received from our parish pledges is $17,991.60 - $8,995.80 for our parish (our 50%) and $8,995.80 for the archdiocese (their 50%).  27.63% of the total cash ($65,125) has been collected so far.  60.8% of our parishioners pledged money. This is wonderful!!

Thank You

THANK YOU: to everyone who brought the delicious baked goods, everyone who purchased them, and to Phyllis Babcock who worked at the bake sale.  Our bake sale was a big success.
