The Holy Spirit Parish
Holy Spirit Parish is a small Roman Catholic Parish in south-central Kentucky. We were founded in 1953 and our church was erected in 1968. We have 76 registered families, with a wide variety of ages and ethnic backgrounds. The majority of our parishioners are transplants from other areas, who have settled here for jobs, to be near family and/or friends or to retire near gorgeous Lake Cumberland. In the summer we welcome many visitors who come to Lake Cumberland. One of the gifts of our parish is our hospitality. We try to make everyone feel welcome and a part of our Eucharistic celebrations.

You are invited to bring a flower (or flowers) for this. If you have no flowers, we will have some extra ones. ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC: will be Sunday May 19 (Pentecost). Sign up sheet is out today. PRESSURE WASHER: We are in need of a pressure washer and/or someone who is willing to pressure wash the Pavilion floor and picnic tables before the picnic on May 19. NEW STEEPLE: Our new steeple was installed on Thursday. It is quite lovely and when it is wired will be lit at night. Thanks to Tony Thomas who stayed here all day Thursday to oversee the project. |
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TODAY: for grades 2 & 5/6. CONFESSIONS: this Friday at 8 AM. ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC: will be Sunday May 19 (Pentecost). Mark your calendars now. MARRIAGE MOMENTS:“Simon, son of John, do you love me?” (John 21:16) Sometimes married couples feel they have to fish for compliments or for those magic words, “I love you.” Can you be the first to say them to your beloved today? If you missed being first, try being the last. |
